NOVEMBER 2018 MONTHLY LETTER
John 14:15
“If you love Me, keep My commandments."
We see in John 14:15, Jesus is saying, this is the prove that someone has a relationship with me and loves me- this one keeps my commandments.
According to our Lord Jesus, it is not only to say I love you Lord, but it is obeying Him and diligently keeping His Word.
vs. 21 tells us what happens when someone has a true relationship with Jesus. A true relationship is keeping His Word.
John 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
Loving Jesus is more than feelings, but it is to have His commandments and keep them. As a result, we are loved by the Father and Jesus. Jesus promises to manifest in the life of the individual. Self-revelation of Jesus in the life of a believer, is His presence, power, authority, signs and wonders. We will see this kind of manifestation of Jesus, as the evidence of obedience, walking with Him, along with keeping His Word.
We are speaking about a real relationship with the Lord, or we can also say a friendship.
Let’s see what is the qualifying standard to be friends of Jesus.
John 15:14
You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.
Do not leave your first love, keep on loving Jesus. Remember, loving Jesus is obeying Him.
Matthew 7:21-22 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
Hear what the Lord is saying “obedience it is not legalism”. If some one claims to have a real relationship with Christ, they ought to obey His commandments.
When the Lord says, repent, He is saying to come back or return to the fellowship which you once had before it was lost through disobedience. Remember, repentance is not just simply saying I’m sorry, but true repentance is stopping and turning away from sin completely.
It’s time to restore your relationship with Jesus. Do not try to impress others with external, ritual and false expressions of love. What God wants is heartfelt obedience and commitment. The purpose of Jesus in our life is to be glorified, that He may be made manifested in us for the world to see.
Revival is coming!!!
