Lighting upgrades at Possum Creek Park's skate area and parking lot are complete

5 additional city parks will see lighting improvements

Possum Creek Park

4009 NW 53rd Ave.

The completed project at Possum Creek Park includes lighting the skate park, parking lot and restroom path. The skate area is now open until 11:30 p.m. allowing extended hours of activity!

As one of Florida’s premiere skateboarding landscapes, Possum Creek's skate area features a multi-level bowl, obstacles, modern plaza elements and integrated landscaping.

If skateboarding isn't your passion, Possum Creek Park also features a playground, picnic pavilion, jogging path and scenic nature trail that winds through the forest and floodplain. In addition, the park boasts recreation fields suitable for ballgames, frisbee, kite flying and more. These features are available from dawn until dusk.

Musco Sports Lighting, LLC managed the lighting project in coordination with Vintage Electric, Inc. and M. Gay Constructors, Inc. The project cost was $156,663.88.
