Come sapete, ogni anno ad Ottobre si celebra l’Italian-American Heritage Month in cui ricordiamo con orgoglio le nostre radici comuni, la nostra cultura, i risultati raggiunti dalla nostra collettività e confermiamo, ancora una volta, il comune impegno a diffondere i nostri valori.
Ringrazio la “October as Italian-American Heritage Month Committee” e tutte le associazioni italiane e italo-americane per il lavoro svolto anche quest'anno, con grande dedizione, per celebrare insieme la bellezza di condividere la nostra eredità culturale italiana.

Here are the events for the month of October.
As you know, every year during the month of October, we celebrate Italian-American Heritage Month. And every year, we are proudly reminded of our origins, our culture, and the many achievements of our community, which strengthen our commitment to spreading our shared values.
I thank the “October as Italian-American Heritage Month Committee” and all the Italian and Italian-American associations for their work done every year, with great dedication, to celebrate together the beauty of our Italian cultural heritage.
I would like to highlight the importance of the upcoming elections for the Com.It.Es. (Comitati degli Italiani all’estero); all related information can be found here.

ELEZIONI PER RINNOVARE I COMITATI DEGLI ITALIANI ALL'ESTERO |
Boston, 3 Settembre 2021
Con decreto consolare del Console Generale d’Italia in Boston n. 7/2021 sono indette le elezioni per l’istituzione e il rinnovo del Comitato degli Italiani all’estero della circoscrizione consolare di questo Consolato Generale d’Italia.
La data delle elezioni è fissata al 3 dicembre 2021. Tale data corrisponde all’ultimo giorno utile per far pervenire al Consolato la busta contenente la propria scheda elettorale votata. Per partecipare al voto occorre iscriversi nell’elenco degli elettori del proprio consolato di riferimento facendo pervenire apposita domanda entro e non oltre il 3 novembre 2021.
Il comitato da eleggere sarà composto di dodici (12) membri, sulla base della consistenza della collettività residente. Con il decreto si istituisce anche l’Ufficio elettorale adibito alle operazioni elettorali.

A settembre 2021 apre SIRI, la "Saturday School" di italiano a Providence, RI! SIRI offre gruppi di gioco, gruppi propedeutici alla letto-scrittura, e gruppi di lettura e scrittura per bambini italofoni fino ai 7 anni. SIRI si propone anche come punto di ritrovo per le famiglie italiane e italofone residenti in RI e dintorni.
La docente: Anna Aresi, Ph.D. (Brown, 2016) è insegnante, traduttrice e mamma di un bambino e una bambina trilingui. Con un'esperienza decennale di insegnamento dell'italiano, dal 2016 lavora con bambini/e e famiglie bi- e multilingui. Si occupa anche di traduzione di libri per l'infanzia.

Would you like to learn to speak Italian?
For over the past 20 years, the Burlington Sons of Italy Lodge 2223 has been offering two 12-week semesters of Italian Language Classes annually. The 12 weeks of highly acclaimed classes are offered at six different learning levels from Beginner to Intermediate to Advanced. There is something for everyone no matter the experience level. Further, the classes are taught by professional Italian teachers from academia.
The classes are especially aimed at those who have no Italian language experience and two beginner levels are offered. Then for those with a smattering of Italian language expertise and are planning a trip to Italy in the near future and need to sharpen their skills, there are two intermediate levels and they are a perfect fit for such travel. Finally the advanced levels are for those who want to go beyond.
