In 2025, Lightyear appointed Joseph Hanna as an Operating Partner. Joseph brings more than 20 years of product leadership and technology innovation experience across B2B, B2C, SaaS, and AI/ML applications. He was the Founder and CEO/CPO of ENGAGE, an award-winning market intelligence platform.


He pioneered AI/ML and advanced data applications across multiple industries, including fintech, HR-tech, supply chain, procurement, and safety. He holds several patents in AI technologies and has a strong track record supporting PE/VC-backed company growth through product innovation, operational excellence, and technology M&A.

 

Prior to ENGAGE, Joseph held product leadership and growth positions with companies ranging from Fortune 500 enterprises to early-stage startups.

Prepared & served ~1,200 hot meals & packed 200 hygiene kits for NYC residents experiencing homelessness

Hosted 20 NYC high school students to discuss career paths in finance

Packed backpacks with school supplies for 50 children experiencing homelessness in NYC


November | Food Drive with City Harvest


Donated over 440 pounds of non-perishable food items



December | Coalition for the Homeless Holiday Toy Drive


Wrapped and donated holiday gifts for 75 children experiencing homelessness in NYC

AI Summit

In November, we hosted an AI Summit, bringing together CEOs, Operating Partners, and senior leaders across the AI ecosystem. Over 30 participants representing 14 companies attended the summit including leading AI firms and our portfolio companies, CuraLinc, Lighthouse, PracticeTek, ProfitSolv, Schellman, and Vehlo. Topics of discussion focused on driving impact with AI, including AI playbooks, leveraging foundation models, and monetizing AI products.

Wealth & Asset Management Advisory Committee Summit

In June, we hosted our third Wealth & Asset Management Advisory Committee Summit. Attendees included Advisory Committee members, Operating Partners, portfolio company CEOs, and members of the Lightyear team. The group discussed personal financial advice and the impacts of AI, retirement TPA resources for RIAs, and innovations in advisor marketing technology, among other relevant topics.
