Quiet Oaks Newsletter October 2021
Finding blessings out of our challenges is what we're about.
The biggest blessing was the overwhelming support from
volunteers, community sponsors and continuous donations.
Quiet Oaks could not fulfill our mission without each and everyone of you!
2021 is our "Better Together" year,
making a difference in our community...TOGETHER!
Thank you for the Quilt Donation

Thank you to St. Ann’s Mission group in St. Joseph, MN and the Positive Piece Makers of Kimball Christian Church who also provided for their donation of various quilts and afghans including the one pictured and several beautiful quilts to share with our resident family members. They are beautiful and we are very appreciative!

Celebration Lutheran Church

Thank you to several members of Celebration Lutheran Church for spending time at Quiet Oaks helping with some Fall clean up!

We appreciate it!

June does it again
We received another beautiful and generous donation from June of All Trades Custom Outdoor Planters. These gorgeous fall planters are just what the front entry way needed! Thank you June!

Quiet Oaks gets more quilts
Thank you to Jan Stockinger and the St. Joseph Quilting Group for their beautiful quilt donation.

These are just 2 of the many they brought to the house today.

So appreciated!

United Way Day of Caring
"Volunteers don't necessarily have the time, they just have the HEART"
Overwhelming gratitude for these selfless individuals that came out to Quiet Oaks for the United Way "Day of Caring". Several volunteers from various area businesses generously donated their time to ground maintenance, cottage upgrades, landscaping, cleaning and numerous other things. Thank you to DeZURIK, Thrivent, Falcon National Bank, InteleCONNECT, Inc., Cetera Financial Group, Schlenner Wenner & Co. We are excited to share that this year’s event generated over $75,000 through Sponsorships and the Fund-A-Need Campaign! We are so grateful for the support of our community. We look forward to seeing you all in person next year at Autumn Reflections on September 29th.
Haddy Lutz, RN
(Real name is Hadley)

Hometown: St. Cloud, MN

Family: One older brother, some cool parents and boyfriend Sean

Hobbies: I love to travel, hike, kayak, downhill ski, bike, camp and am an adrenaline junkie

Why I work at Quiet Oaks: I work at QO because I have a special connection with hospice care. Two of my grandparents were on hospice and the nurses that helped them and my family along their journey made a huge impact on us. For that reason I wanted to go into hospice so that I could also make a difference in other people’s lives, especially in their time of need.
Doug Adamak, Volunteer

I was born the oldest of five kids raised on a small 200 acre farm near Bird Island.

I have celebrated my 53rd year of marriage to my wife Jackie and we have two married daughters with six grand children.

I enjoy the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, softball and golfing.

I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the lawn mowing team at Quiet Oaks and doing my part to maintain this beautiful property and asset to our community. All of the staff at Quiet Oaks are so dedicated and professional in caring for the residents and their families.
Quiet Oaks has immediate openings for RNs, LPNs and CNA's

Q: Why are nurses always so calm?

A: Because they have lots of "patients"
