Give2Sing success
Give2Sing  ended June 7, and  with your help we raised $21,000 . A BIG thank you to all our donors. We are now one step closer to making a difference for youth in the performing arts through song. Again, thank you for your continued support of our singers and programs.

While  Give2Sing  is over, you can still donate. Contributions to our Annual Fund are on-going and are an amazing source of support. If you haven't donated to MCC during Give2Sing , please take a moment and give today.

New Choirs

The Lyric Chorale is the new premiere treble chorus. The Milwaukee Youth Chorale is comprised of the Bass and Treble Chorals.

The Board's Corner

MCC's Board of Directors is preparing to begin the strategic planning process. In short, we are taking control of our future.

AmazonSmile is a simple way for you to support MCC when you shop, and at no cost to you because Amazon donates a portion of your purchase price to MCC.
Give2Sing Winners
While our singers are the real winners of the Give2Sing Campaign, we are excited to announce the winners of our Give2Sing donor give-a-ways.

Farewell & Best Wishes

April's 'A Quarter Question Poll' answered: Have you heard of the term basso profondo, also known as oktavist? 39% said Absolutely and 61% said Unfortunately Not .

Basso profondo is the Italian definition for "deep bass". It is the bass voice subtype with the lowest vocal range. Oktavists is another term used, singing an octave below the bass part. Although a basso profondo obviously requires the ability to sing notes in a lower register, more importance is placed on the quality of the "largeness", or resonance and sonority.
