What an amazing turn out for our Royalty Orientations! We had representation from __ schools around the Spokane County! We met over __ young ladies and we were very impressed and are looking forward to finding out who the schools choose to represent them.
At our Orientation meetings, potential Candidates learned all the details that are entailed and occur when participating in our Royalty program. This can be an overwhelming meeting for those seniors and their parents, but if past years have proven, those who continue and are chosen as their school's candidate are ready and committed!
We will announce our 2020 Royalty Candidates in early January, so keep an eye out!

Mark your calendars for Sunday, December 8th from 3-5pm for our annual Holiday party! Below is a little information on what you can expect and a link to RSVP. Hope to see as many of you there as possible, we love our Lilac family and enjoy celebrating this special time with you!
- Potluck Dinner (You will be able to specify what you would like to bring when you register.)
- Raffle Items (It just wouldn't be a Lilac event without a fun raffle. You can buy tickets at the party or pre-purchase when you register.)
- Gift Exchange (If you would like to bring a small gift to add to the pool, its always a great time for a fun, and maybe a tad lively, "yankee swap" style exchange.) $15 limit
- Toys for Tots (If you would like to bring a new, unwrapped, toy to donate to this wonderful cause, please do!)

In the next few weeks, we will be highlighting our newly installed 2020 'Destination Spokane' Executive Committee.
Last week
, we introduced you to our 2020 Co-VP of Community & Military, Angela Wray. The Lilac Festival is an all Volunteer organization and we are extremely fortunate to have a group of leaders that dedicate their precious time to continuing this great tradition and bringing it into the future successfully.

Deb is one of our newer Directors and has jumped in head first to take on more leadership positions. We are honored to have her on board as one of our VP's of Hosting!
Deb is originally from the small town of Volin, South Dakota. She recently lived in Boise for 14 years, moving to Spokane Valley 4 years ago. Her and her husband, Todd, have five children and five grandchildren! Family is very important to Deb and Todd and they love having their grand kids stay with them as much as possible. With all but one of their children out of town, they treasure as much time as they can get with them.
In the Fall of 2017, her friend and fellow Exec member, Shelley Sholl, introduced her to the Lilac Festival. She loved all the events that the Festival puts on and loved that it brought smiles to so many people in the community. In 2018, she became a Director and has engulfed herself as much as possible. She was awarded the "Spirit of Lilac" award along with fellow Director, Sam Snow, honoring the best new Director(s).
Deb works as the Practice Manager for Spokane Cardiology and it's five clinics. Outside of work and Lilac, Deb enjoys boating and biking around the region and of course family time!
