The past couple of weeks, we've had a great time attending various activities around the Lilac City.
On November 29th, a handful of our members volunteered to answer phones during KSPS-TV's winter membership drive. It was a lot of fun getting to know our friends at KSPS, talking with viewers around the region as well as meeting travel expert, Rick Steves!

Cecelia Stephens
2019 Co-VP Royalty

If you have ever called, visited the Lilac office or just attended one of our events, you most likely have had the pleasure of meeting Cecelia! Not only is she our Office Manager, she is one of our most dedicated members and expert on all things Lilac!
Cecelia got involved with the Spokane Lilac Festival when her daughter, Michelle, represented University High School as a Princess in 1992. Her enjoyment as a Royalty mom lead her to continue working for the Royalty Program as a Chaperone for 8 years, VP of Royalty, President Elect, President in 2008, VP of Hosting, and Co-President in 2014!
This year, she has teamed up with Clare Patton to lead our Royalty program AND continues to volunteer in the office as the Office Manager!
She is the mother of two and grandmother of six. She and her husband, Mike, have been married 49 years and enjoy traveling and spending time with their family. In the summer, you can find them at their lake cabin on Lake Coeur d'Alene.
This newsletter isn't long enough to thank Cecelia for all she does and has done for the Lilac Festival. We are incredibly lucky to have you, Cecelia!
