Lost Creek Limited District Newsletter

September 2022

Happy Fall, Lost Creek!

Neighborhood Updates

Your Limited District Board has been working on several projects to enhance the neighborhood and our amenities.

  • The turf installation on portions of the Lost Creek Boulevard playground has been completed. See below for some pictures and be sure to drop by with your family to check it out!
  • The District continues to fund security patrols by off duty Travis County officers. If you need police assistance please contact Austin 311 (non emergency) or 911 for emergencies.

Election Information

  • Three candidates have filed for the three open director positions:
  • Megan Marrs
  • Bob Sweeney
  • Chris Vetromile
  • Due to the number of applications received equaling the number of open positions, the November 8, 2022 election will be canceled in accordance with Section 2.053 of the Texas Election Code.

Dark Skies

  • As a Dark Skies community, Lost Creek has been included on the website for the Texas Chapter of the International Dark-Sky Association. Learn more here
  • Our neighborhood Dark Skies award compliments the Lights Out Texas initiative which is working to protect our spring and fall migrating birds. Thousands of birds are killed each year by unnecessary bright lighting as birds migrate at night through Central Texas.
  • Full Migration: August 15 - November 30, 2022
  • Peak Migration: September 6 - October 29, 2022

Other Reminders

  • You can find information about our upcoming board meetings on the District’s website
  • All exterior construction in Lost Creek must be approved by the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). This requirement is in addition to any approval received from the City’s permitting process. More information can be found on the District’s website
