“I have battled breast cancer twice. I did not know at the time that my biggest battle was not going to be the recovery from the physical scars but from the emotional ones. Today, instead of apologizing for my body or hiding my femininity, I choose to love it and celebrate it.”

Winter Tune-Up

Winter weather can be drying to your skin – something you may already be managing if you are still in active treatment. Here are some tips for colder weather:

  • Stick with your gentle cleanser – for your body and face – to ensure you aren’t stripping away moisture.

  • Look for products that say cream vs. lotion. Creams typically come in jars rather than pumps and are thicker. Remember to choose fragrance-free if you are sensitive.

  • If you are thinking of trying a serum, hyaluronic acid is an ingredient that really can help moisturize dry skin.

  • If your skin is reacting to treatment, consider waiting until you are finished.

  • Keep baths and showers short and use warm water, not hot.

  • And of course, don’t forget your sunscreen even in the colder weather.
During the month of October, for every purchase of a Marcelle skincare product* at a participating Walmart store in Canada, Groupe Marcelle will donate $1 to Look Good Feel Better, helping women and teens facing cancer feel good in their skin.

* See in-store for skincare products specific to the campaign.
