Internal Deadline: July 14

The Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (CFCCC) is proud to support promising junior faculty in the fight against cancer and is seeking two junior faculty members conducting research in blood-related cancers to submit full applications for the 2025 Gabrielle's Angel Foundation Medical Research Awards. Please carefully review the attached RFA guidelines for additional details on the applicant eligibility, exclusions, award terms, and deadlines/next steps.

 

The CFCCC will select one application per category: Mainstream/Conventional research project; Integrative Medicine research project (refer to detailed attached RFA guidelines for more information about this category). If selected, the full application (electronic and postmarked hard copies) is due to Gabrielle's Angel Foundation by August 8, 2025.


Applicants must have

  • An MD or PhD
  • A junior faculty position at a 501(c)(3) teaching research institution
  • The designation of Assistant Professor (Associate Professors may apply for *integrative* projects only)
  • Held their current position no longer than five years (for conventional projects only)
  • Both independent research projects and independent resources
  • Preliminary results and/or publications from their independent laboratory


Budget Information

  • The total award shall not exceed $225,000 total ($75,000 per year over three years)
  • Overhead costs cannot exceed 10% ($22,500 total or $7,500 per year). This amount is to be included in the $75,000 per year award.
