Spring 2023

Join us for this course conducted by the Institute for Childhood Preparedness, a national organization that helps early childhood programs prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters.

Course Overview

Participants will learn evidence-based techniques and strategies to prepare for and respond to an active shooter incident, how to conduct safety drills, develop a customized plan, and work together to ensure staff, teachers, and children are best prepared to respond to any at-risk situation. This course will provide an interactive experience in a calm, safe, and comfortable environment.

This Spring, we will offer an in-person course in each service region to help child care programs prepare for and practice their response to an intruder in their program. Space is limited in each class; secure your spot now!
