Celebrate Pride Month with us!

ORC is proud to support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and we look forward to hosting more pride events again during Capital Pride in August.

We have our ORC Pride tank tops for sale. Please reach out to rowing@ottawarowingclub.com if you are interested in purchasing a shirt.

Upcoming: Chaos Regatta and Pre-Canada day BBQ

The Chaos Regatta is returning this year after two successful years! The Chaos Regatta is an ORC regatta for all experienced programs, built with the goal of building our community and allowing athletes to get to know each other across the whole spectrum of programming.

The event will have both racing and a Canada Day BBQ, which you can sign up for separately or for both! The Chaos entry fee will be $20 CASH. 

The Pre-Canada Day BBQ will begin at 1 pm on June 29th-post Chaos Regatta. There will be free food for all ORC members and friends and the chance to buy tickets for our annual raffle to win one of our fantastic prize baskets. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase as well!

The event takes place on Saturday, June 29th, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Ottawa Rowing Club. The last day to sign up and pay is Thursday, June 27th, at noon. Fees can be paid by cash only to ORC staff in the office. You must be an RCA registered member to row or cox. Sign up using the form below!

We will need volunteers to make this event possible! Volunteers get free brunch. Please fill out the form if you are interested in volunteering! 

Rescheduled: RCA Coaching Workshop now June 23rd

Have you been considering coaching as a hobby? Thinking of working as a rowing instructor or camp leader this summer at ORC? The RCA Learn to Row Coach workshop is a one-day clinic that will teach you the concepts needed to work with those new to rowing.

Date: June 23rd, 2024

Time: 9 am to 5 pm

Location: Ottawa Rowing Club

Please note that this workshop will take place at Ottawa Rowing Club (10 Lady Grey Drive, Ottawa) and is set to begin at 9:00 am. We encourage you to bring lunch/snacks and water for the day, as well as clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in. 

Please provide us with your expression of interest in the RCA Learn to Row Coach workshop ASAP by filling out the form linked below.

Postponed: First Aid and Water Rescue Training

Unfortunately, we will be postponing our next On Water Rescue Training course that was planned for June 22nd.

Please watch for updates, a new day will be announced for the fall season.

ORC Gym Only Memberships are now available!

The ORC now offers gym-only memberships! These memberships are great for friends, parents, crossfitters and anyone looking for a high-quality and friendly training space!

Memberships are now only $75 for the whole summer.

ORC Half Day Summer Camp now available!

Rowing is not only a fun activity but also a valuable experience that can enrich your child’s life in numerous ways. Whether your child is looking for a new hobby, a way to stay active, or a chance to connect with others, our Discover Rowing Camp offers something special in the heart of the city.

Upcoming: ORC Summer Blockbuster

The ORC is renting out the Mayfair Theatre on July 7th to do a screening of Tomorrow Never Dies (007) for this year's installment of ORC's Summer Blockbuster.

Tickets will soon be available on Eventbrite through our website or they can be bought with cash at the theatre on the day of.

The ORC is thrilled to announce that on July 23rd, we will be hosting a Henlyey Send-Off party!

Looking for a host family!

Anna Katharina Vieten, our JR exchange student from Germany, would like to return to Ottawa for the summer and is looking for a host family so she can train and race with the ORC at Henley. 

She will arrive around July 4th for 4-5 weeks. Her family will cover food and other accommodation expenses. 

Please email rowing@ottawarowingclub.com if you are able to host this young athlete.

ORC Discord

New to ORC or haven't heard of Discord? Discord is an instant messaging social platform that has virtual communities, called "servers", which can be accessed through their webpage or app. ORC has its own discord server where all of our important and urgent information, like practice cancellations and updates, will be posted first. Follow the link below to join the ORC server. Once you've entered the server, you will need to select the ORC programs or activities you are associated with to get access to the "channels", or chat groups, affiliated with your program.
