A Letter from our Principal
Dear Lincoln School Parents,
Welcome back to school! I am excited to tell you that we had a smooth opening. Your children are ready for kindergarten/pre k and seem excited to be here. I know we are excited to have them here! I am including a few things to remember when navigating Lincoln School:
  • In order to minimize the number of disruptions at the end of the day, we are asking that if you need to pick up your child early, that you do so at either 2:45 or 3:00. We will call your child down once you have arrived. Please make sure that you have notified both the teacher and the office ahead of time. We appreciate your cooperation.
  • Next week there will be a drop off box in front of the school for items your child may have forgotten to bring to school. We are asking that you ring the bell and let us know that you are leaving the item for your child. The item should be clearly marked with your child's full name and classroom teacher. We will retrieve it and delivery it to your child's classroom.
  • The permanent transportation forms you filled out for your kindergartner indicate how we will be sending your child home each day. Should you need to make a temporary change, it is extremely important that you let the classroom teacher and the office know at least one day ahead. If you need to make a permanent change, you will need to come into the office to update that form.
Thank you very much! Here's to a great year.
Audrey

Not on the list but still want to be involved? Don't just watch this amazing year go by without getting involved firsthand! We are always looking for volunteers to assist with various school and PTO functions. We know the challenges of volunteering your precious time, but no amount of time you can spare is too little! We will help you find a way! If you are new to the district, new to Westfield or new to "PTO work", this is a fantastic way to learn and make new friends -- this is the PTO you want to try out before you move onto your home elementary schools! Please contact any of the board members listed above to get started or complete the interest finder form using the link below .

Class Parent

Two class parents for each class will be picked via lottery. If you are interested in being involved for your child's classroom, please consider becoming a class parent volunteer. You can sign up for this via the  PTO Interest Finder.
Lincoln School Directory

We are working to get the directory out to families as soon as possible. Please submit your PTO dues on PTO Bay by Friday, September 14th so that we are able to send a copy home with your child.
Yearbook Photo Approval/Release Form

Help us collect Box Tops

Box Tops for Education is a great way to help raise money for our school, and this year we need everyone's help to meet and hopefully exceed our goal of $2,000.

For each box top you clip, Box Tops for Education will give our school ten cents. Some of your family's favorite brands, from household goods to produce, may be a participant in the Box Tops program. With the power of scissors and some tape, you can help the PTO fund some of the activities at our school. When you find the collection sheet in your child's folder, consider placing it next to your favorite picture on the refrigerator to remind you of how you can help. Once the collection sheet has been completed, please return it to your child's teacher.

Before you recycle that packaging, take a second look, as box tops aren't just found on cereal anymore. A complete list of participating products can be found  here.

Watch out for more news in the months to come as we announce prizes and contests tied to Box Tops collections.
Start Your Holiday Shopping E arly and Save on Sales Tax!

The Lincoln School PTO invites you to join us in a Yankee Candle fundraiser. Catalogs will be going home in your child's backpack soon. Candles will be on sale starting September 17th until October 12th.

This is not door-to-door selling, just a chance for you, your family and friends to get started on holiday shopping!

Orders are expected to be delivered in-time for Thanksgiving. All sales are tax exempt.

A few helpful tips:
  • Checks should be made payable to Lincoln School PTO
  • The child's name and teacher"s name must be printed on top of your order form and collection envelope
  • Please be sure to check your totals carefully. Do not add sales tax.
Please feel free to contact Stephanie Siegel at stephanie.m.siegel@gmail.com
or Angela Kaufman at  Ayabar@mac.com with any questions.
