The U.S. Census will end on September 30. Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year. The results also determine how many seats in Congress each state gets. Please take a moment to fill out the Census today to be counted.

Early voting in Chicago will begin in October and officials have started sending out vote-by-mail ballots. Officials recommend taking advantage of these options to keep polling places from becoming crowded on November 3.

In-person early voting will be available in Lincoln Park at Lincoln Park High School (2001 N. Orchard) from October 14 - November 3.

As we enter the fall season, street sweepers will start to remove debris and litter from the streets. Please see your map & schedule for sweeping dates.

Featuring 150 images from the Chicago History Museum’s Chicago Sun-Times collection, Millions of Moments is a first look at highlights from five million negatives spanning the 1940s to the early 2000s.

Chicago has released guidance for restaurants and bars to continue operating outdoors safely and responsibly. As reminder, all outdoor spaces must have a Sidewalk Cafe Permit, Outdoor Patio License or an Expanded Outdoor Dining Permit.
