2/20 & 2/22: Alternate Side Parking Suspended

Alternate side parking (street cleaning) regulations are suspended on Monday, February 20, 2023, for Washington’s Birthday (Presidents' Day) and on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, for Ash Wednesday. Parking meters remain in effect. 

2/20 & 3/4: NYPD Cadet Corps Orientations

Attention all college students! The NYPD Cadet Corps will provide you with real life training and experience through hands-on work that makes a difference. This is a great way to acquire valuable skills, earn a competitive salary, and receive up to $20,000 in tuition assistance, all while working a flexible schedule. On January 31, Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine delivered his first State of the Borough since taking office in 2022. During the event, BP Levine highlighted the borough's ongoing comeback and looked at some of the challenges facing the borough, including the affordability crisis. Apply to Host an NYC Civic Corps Member

All 501c3 organizations in NYC are welcome to apply to host NYC Civic Corps members! NYC Service recruits and places full-time NYC Civic Corps AmeriCorps members at select partnering community-based organizations for 10 months. NYC Service is accepting applications that demonstrate how members would advance the partner organization’s mission through building, developing, or managing volunteer programs. Organizations are notified of acceptance in the Spring and are expected to host members Sept. ‘23 - June ‘24. Applications must be submitted by February 22, 2023. Interested or have questions? The Boards are pivotal in shaping their communities and work to enhance and preserve the character of the city’s many unique neighborhoods.
