WEEK FIVE @ LINCOLN
Week Five sure whizzed by at Lincoln Extended Day! We started out the week with Water Day which is always a kiddo favorite! Tuesday we set a few tents up on the lawn, made a pretend fire pit w/ accessories and the students imagination took it from there. We served up s'mores for all at snack time and many asked if we could do this everyday! Wednesday Camp Como Zoo came to us; we were a captivated audience and learned lots! Thursday was our Pet Show and Pet Parade, all animals who participated won an award, and their owners a freezie pop! We ended the week with Field Trips on Friday. Our Kinder-2nd grade students enJOYed the Minnesota Children's Museum, and our 3rd-4th graders Conquer Ninja Warrior.

Other highlights of the week included:
* Obstacle Course Relay camp with Mr Ozzie was a huge hit with our 3rd - 4th graders! Mission Impossible was a kiddo favorite - it took a lot of teamwork - they persevered, and were rewarded with success!
*Global Art Gurus with Miss Pang allowed our Kinder - 2nd graders to get creative, a little messy, and release their inner artist!
* Master Chef Jr with Miss Stephanie was a delightful and delicious experience for our older kiddos. They measured, scooped, experimented a bit, and even made their own chef hats! The day they made bread was an aroma experience for all who entered the building!
WEEK SIX @ LINCOLN
Week Six was ..... well, pretty sweaty! The air was out on Monday and temps were hot outside - this combo caused us to cancel the GaGa Ball Tournament and opt for inside activities. Tuesday our Kinder - 2nd graders beat the heat by going to Battle Creek Water Works - it was the perfect day for splashing, swimming, and sliding in the water! Wednesday our 3rd - 4th graders cheered on the Saint Paul Saints. Though the home team lost by one, it was a winner of a day! We had awesome seats, and one friend came home with a game ball! Thursday our 3rd-4th graders beat the heat by heading to Cascade Bay. They enjoyed the water-slides, lazy river and were able to take in a round of mini golf if they wanted. Friday we bused to the White Bear Lake Farmers Market. It was an optional outing, and all who went really enjoyed themselves, most coming back with a bag of goodies - from the Market and / or Grandma's Bakery.

Other highlights of the week included:
*Arts Alive w/ Miss Shraddha gave our 3rd - 4th graders the chance to get creative, a little messy, and release their inner artist! A couple Kinder-2nd graders joined in too.
*"Bored" Games w/ Miss Joanie gave all our kiddos the chance to learn how and play some old school board games! She was kind enough to bring loads of them in from home, and share with the students.
*Fashion Show w/ Miss Risa was stylishly fun! Kiddos we able to use old blouses and other materials, redesign and of course accessorize them to their own liking. On Thursday morning they were able to show off their final product by walking down the runway if they so chose!

Important Field Trip Information

  • Field trip groups are split up based on the grade your child will be entering in the fall.
  • Most field trips will leave after lunch, however there may be some field trips that we ask you to pack a bag lunch. You will be notified of these special occasions in advance.
  • We ask that children wear their 'field trip shirt' on each field trip. You will receive this shirt during the first weeks of summer, and it is yours to keep. We also recommend tennis shoes for many field trips.
  • For swim trips, we provide a swim shirt for your child to wear over their suit. We will collect these at the end of each swim trip so we can wash & have ready for the next adventure.
  • The cost of field trips is covered by your daily tuition, however, there may be some field trips where you have the option to bring additional spending money or purchase additional items. We will notify you in our weekly email update when this is the case.
