WEEK NINE @ LINCOLN
Week nine was mighty fine at Lincoln Extended Day!
Monday we kicked off the morning delivering grocery bags in the Lincoln neighborhood to add to our Food Shelf donation. That afternoon we hosted A Taste of MN! During afternoon choices students were able to sample some of Minnesota's originals including SPAM, tatar tots, pizza rolls, honeycrip apples, Blueberry muffins, pickles, corn dogs, chips, bars and wild rice soup! Tuesday morning Abrakadoodle came to us and students were able to get creative! Many a masterpiece was created that day! Wednesday we enjoyed Water Day; always a kiddo favorite! Thursday morning we thoroughly entertained by a student driven Talent Show, it was so enJOYable! That afternoon we had some special guests visit. White Bear Lake Fire Dept sent a few guys, complete with a Truck and Ambulance, and Officer Brittney from the Afton PD - no arrests were made!
Friday we finished out the week with two field trips; our Kinder -2nd graders went to The Works Museum & 3rd-4th graders went to see the Lion King!

Other highlights of the week included:
* Wonderful World of Wizardry camp with Miss Beth was completely be-witching! Students made secret maps, magical wands and potions to name a few highlights!
*Bakers in Training with Miss Annie was amazing! They measured, scooped, stirred and shared! Highlights included a variety of cookies - which were delicious. They even sent a little package back with the Firemen!
* Comic Book Studio with Mr Nick got creative! Students learned drawing techniques and put them into action - sharing their characters and stories with each other at the end of the week.
We also had the Bike Fleet for a second time! Our 3rd-4th graders had the option to go on bike rides everyday! Destinations they pedaled to included Ramsey Beach, Podvin Park, Cup and Cone - we even popped in at FLEX one day to say Hi to some siblings and hang out a bit over their recess!

WEEK TEN @ LINCOLN
Week Ten, we'd do it all over again! Monday we kicked off (or shall we say pedaled off) the week with Wheels Day - always a kiddo favorite! Tuesday our Kinder - 2nd graders splashed and swam the afternoon away at Battle Creek Water Works. Wednesday we hosted a Dance Party in the Cafe. It was SO MUCH FUN! Miss Nikki was our amazing DJ and Miss Risa taught us a Japanese Pokemon dance. Other highlights included a Dance Train, the Limbo, and a Hula Hoop contest! Thursday our 3rd-4th graders made a trip to Highland Park Pool. It was a bit of an adventure getting there, though worth it! Students loved the diving boards, climbing wall, splash pools, and slides; A great time was had by all! Friday we celebrate the end of what has been an amazing summer with an all site field trip to Saints North!

Anther highlight of the week included:
On Tuesday our 3rd-4th graders made an impromptu walk to Cup and Cone for "A Cone w/ Dr K"! It was a special and unexpected adventure we added - a yummy treat and fun conversation!
WANTED YOU TO KNOW:

As a result of our Lucky Lemonade Stand , Coffee for a Cause , and Neighborhood Food Collection , we were able to donate well over $300, and 164 pounds of food / goods to the White Bear Lake Area Emergency Food Shelf!
