WEEK SEVEN @ LINCOLN
Week seven was another amazing week at Lincoln Extended Day!
On Monday - Open Eye Puppet Theatre came to us, set up out on the Lincoln lawn, and put on an entertaining show! Tuesday got a little competitive as the staff took the kiddos on in a great game of Kickball! The score was close, and the fun was huge! Wednesday was another active day as we set up a mini Olympics on the Lincoln lawn - stations included Long Jump, Balance Beam, Target Shooting, Hurdles, and 50 Year Dash. We ended each session with a Hula Hoop Challenge, and of course Ribbons & Freezies for all! Thursday we hosted a Pancake Extravaganza! Business was Booming all morning long! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to join us! Friday was Field Trips for all! Kinder-2nd graders went to Stages Theatre and enjoyed the production of Willy Wonka, and our 3rd - 4th graders made the trek to Grand Slam!

Other highlights of the week included:
* What's for Breakfast? camp with Miss Risa & Miss Brittney was a delightful and delicious experience! Kiddos got to experience what others around the world eat for breakfast - the Indian bread was delicious!
*Jr Vets camp with Miss Maddie was a paws-itively a kiddo favorite! The students made cat & dog toys, doggie treats and set up their own Vet Clinic. They also had a special guest from Wags & Whiskers join them one day - Miss Kristin and her dog Aereo!
* Football Fanatics with Mr Matt was FANtastic! The worked on their skills and drills and just as important - sportsmanship! They also touched on nutrition and keeping your body nourished / hydrated. On the last day they walked over to Central and played on Price Field!
WEEK EIGHT @ LINCOLN
Week Eight was really great at Lincoln Extedned Day!
We started out the week with an optional walk to the White Bear Lake Library. We offered it three time throughout the day. It was a nice little trip where we learned a little, explored / palyed a little, and many brought their library card so came back with a book or moive or game. Tuesday our Kinder - 2nd grade students flipped and tumbped the morning away at Elite Gymnastics Academy. Wednesday was a beautiful day to enjoy our town named lake - White Bear Lake! Our 3rd-4th graders were able to go on a pontoon boat ride and go fishing off the Pier - we caught a lot of sunnies and made many memories! Thursday our Kinder - 2nd graders walked over to Podivn Park and had fun in the sand and on the equipment. That same day our 3rd-4th graders went to WIlliam O'Brien State Park. The Park Naturalists had an amazing day planned for us that included bird watching / identification, a river side hike, and micro-vertebrate catching in Lake Alice! We ended this fun filled week with a trek to everyones favorite - Cup & Cone!!

Other highlights of the week included:
*Mix & Match Science w/ Miss Lauren was a huge hit with our Kinder-2nd grade inquiring minds. Elephant toothpaste was a kiddo favorite!
*Mario Club w/ Miss Sarah was popular with our 3rd-4th grade students - their favorite was some time on the Wii!

Important Field Trip Information

  • Field trip groups are split up based on the grade your child will be entering in the fall.
  • Most field trips will leave after lunch, however there may be some field trips that we ask you to pack a bag lunch. You will be notified of these special occasions in advance.
  • We ask that children wear their 'field trip shirt' on each field trip. You will receive this shirt during the first weeks of summer, and it is yours to keep. We also recommend tennis shoes for many field trips.
  • For swim trips, we provide a swim shirt for your child to wear over their suit. We will collect these at the end of each swim trip so we can wash & have ready for the next adventure.
  • The cost of field trips is covered by your daily tuition, however, there may be some field trips where you have the option to bring additional spending money or purchase additional items. We will notify you in our weekly email update when this is the case.
