Lincoln Yards TIF
Lincoln Common Affordable Apartments
Clean and Green
Dear Neighbors,

As expected, a full vote on the Lincoln Yards TIF is scheduled at City Council today. Mayor Emanuel indicates he has the required votes needed to pass the TIF. But, working with the new Administration of Mayor-Elect Lightfoot over the last 48 hours, we are encouraged that our community's concerns about traffic, schools, infrastructure and open space have been heard and understood by the incoming Administration.

Mayor-Elect Lightfoot said, in a statement released late last night, " upon swearing in, I will engage with the community and committed activists who have advocated forcefully for affordable housing, park space and the responsible use of tax increment financing dollars for many months.”

We will continue this effort after the new Administration takes office to bring responsibilty to the use of taxpayer dollars and the North Branch Park Preserve to reality.
