Proposed Sale of City-Owned Property at Linda Lane
We're writing to remind you of the upcoming public hearing regarding property on Linda Lane. The Springfield City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. to consider designating and selling a 34-acre City-owned property located south of Mount Vernon Road along Linda Lane. (Map and tax lot numbers 18-02-04-00-01511 and 18-02-04-42-01300)
The property is currently vacant and zoned for residential development. It includes an underground sanitary sewer line, driveway access for adjoining owners, and a wetland bank easement with a restrictive covenant.
Under ORS 271.310 and Springfield Municipal Code 2.714, the City may sell property that is no longer needed for public use if the sale serves the public interest.
Community members are invited to provide input either in person at City Hall or online via Zoom. Details for accessing the meeting are available on the City’s website at springfield-or.gov/city/city-council-meetings.
