Dear Parents and Supporters,

As head of Academic and Student Affairs, I have the privilege of leading an amazing team of faculty, staff, advisors, and student affairs professionals—all working together and all committed to your student’s success. Together, we work to give them a personalized and supportive experience they deserve, so they can grow academically, socially, and personally. We help them develop confidence through mentoring, as well as foster a sense of belonging to a community. We work with your student holistically, supporting academic achievement and leadership—and encouraging student involvement to enhance their individual journey. We want to help them cultivate durable and transferable power skills (critical thinking, empathy, respectful communication, collaboration, ethical responsibility, and more) to help them to do well and to do good in any future. Thank you for your trust in us and your continued belief in the power of education to change lives. We are here with your student every step of the way.

This annual honor is distributed by Colleges of Distinction following a process of in-depth research. The selection process identifies universities that offer a true student-first philosophy. Lindenwood’s inclusion for a seventh-straight year is a result of the University living by its value of putting students first.

Supporting Your Student’s Success: Introducing the Office of Careers, Internships, and Achievement

As part of our ongoing commitment to student success, we are pleased to share the opening of our newly rebranded Office of Careers, Internships, and Achievement (C.I.A.), located in LARC 229A.

The C.I.A. serves as Lindenwood’s central resource for career development, internships, study abroad opportunities, and service-learning experiences. Through these programs, students gain valuable hands-on experiences that help them develop confidence, sharpen professional skills, and discover a clearer sense of direction as they get real experience here to prepare for life after graduation.

Our dedicated team, led by Director Sara VonBokel, is committed to guiding students at every stage of their academic journey. Whether your student is exploring potential career paths, seeking an internship, planning an international experience, or looking to engage in service, the C.I.A. provides personalized support and strategic guidance.

We encourage your student to take advantage of these valuable resources. The Office of Careers, Internships, and Achievement is here to help students make the most of their Lindenwood experience and prepare for a successful future.

Thrive Through Connection Peer Mentor Program

As students begins their journey at Lindenwood, one of the best ways to set them up for success is by building connections early. We encourage you to share the Thrive Through Connection Peer Mentor Program with your incoming first-year student and encourage them to get involved as a mentee. Students interested in partnering with a peer mentor can enroll online.

Through the program, students will:

Build meaningful connections with fellow students and the campus community.
Receive guidance and encouragement from experienced peer mentors.
Learn how to navigate campus life and university resources.
Develop confidence, a sense of belonging, and skills to help them thrive from day one.
Starting college is an exciting transition, and having a peer mentor can make a meaningful difference. Encourage your student to take advantage of this opportunity to connect, grow, and begin their Lindenwood experience with confidence.

Direct Assistance and Solutions Hub (DASH)

Students must juggle several priorities and requirements when they return to campus. Sometimes students aren’t sure where to go, or a situation might be so complex they don’t know where to begin. That’s where the Direct Assistance and Solutions Hub (DASH) comes in.

Students can receive walk-in support by visiting LARC 346, Monday-Friday between 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

LindenFirst

We are excited to share an opportunity for first-generation college students as they transition to campus. LindenFirst, our First-Generation Bridge Program, helps students build connections, gain confidence, and feel at home before the semester begins.

Through the program, first- generation students will:

Move-in early and settle into campus before the excitement of Welcome Home Weekend
Explore campus and become familiar with important spaces and resources
Connect with fellow first-generation Lions
Meet campus staff and learn about the support services availble to them
Develop skills and strategies for a successful transition to college life.

Involvapalooza!

August 26, 6-9 p.m.

Evans Commons Lawn

One of the best ways for students to build connections and feel at home is by getting involved. Involvapalooza gives students an opportunity to explore student organizations, resources, and support services both on campus and the surrounding community. Students can learn more about the event through Mane Connection, the campus activities and events hub.

Lindenwood Magazine

The latest edition of "The Lindenwood" magazine is now available online.

Check out stories of students, employees, alumni, and friends who believe in the University's value: we do what is right. This edition features Lindenwood's BSN program, the story behind Nancy Polette's Children's Literature Fund for aspiring teachers, and updates from alumni and friends.

Homecoming 2026 - Save the Date!

Mark your calendar for Lindenwood's Homecoming Weekend, October 23-24, 2026. Student activities will take place leading up to the weekend.

Friday, October 23: Lindenwood University Gala at Ameristar Casino Resort Spa in St. Charles. Ticket information coming soon.

Saturday, October 24: Homecoming Parade, Lion Pride Tailgate, Homecoming Football Game in Hunter Stadium.

Check out the Roar Roast!

The Lindenwood Athletics Department has partnered with Empyr Coffee to launch our Lindenwood coffee brand known as Roar Roast.

There are two different types of Roar Roast: Colombian Medium and Brazilian Dark Roast. Twelve-ounce whole bean or ground bags are available for purchase for $20 each, and there are K-cups also available. A 30 pack of K-Cups is $30 and a 100 pack is on sale for $90. The Roar Roast is available online.
