We are delighted to welcome Dr. Cynthia Schoreder into the role of Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. As the recent Dean of the College of Science, Technology, and Health, Dr. Schroeder has a proven track record for excellence, such as overseeing the successful launch of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. With a strong commitment to student success, academic excellence, and meaningful engagement with external partners, she brings a vision that aligns closely with our mission and future priorities. We look forward to working with Dr. Schroeder as we continue to enhance student outcomes and expand opportunities for our university community. 

Faculty Office Hours

One of your student's greatest resources are their course instructors. Every faculty member is required to hold office hours each week; these are times where your students' instructors will be in their offices (or online if they are remote employees) and available to meet with students.  

A primary use for office hours is to get help with course content or discuss feedback on a recent assignment; however, office hours are also a great opportunity for students to build relationships with instructors, which can lead to future opportunities.

Ask your student if they have attended office hours at least once for each of their classes this semester.

Fall Billing & Remaining Balances 

Now that the fall semester is underway, students should review their account for any remaining balance. Schedule changes, housing adjustments, financial aid updates, or other account activity may have changed the amount due since the original bill was issued. If a balance remains, students should review payment options and contact Student Financial Services early for help understanding next steps. 

Financial Aid Disbursement & Stipends 

Due to recent federal changes under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), additional reviews of student financial aid accounts may be required before Fall financial aid can be finalized and disbursed. These reviews help ensure that financial aid is calculated accurately based on eligibility and enrollment level and complies with the new federal requirements. 

As Lindenwood Student Financial Services teams complete these additional reviews, financial aid disbursements and stipends may take longer than usual to process. We understand the importance of receiving your stipends and appreciate your patience as our team works carefully through these new federal requirements. If your student's financial aid results in a stipend, the student will receive notification from BankMobile when funds are available, provided they have opted in to receive notifications.

Thinking About Dropping a Class or Withdrawing? 

Before changing enrollment, students should understand that dropping or withdrawing from a course can affect financial aid eligibility, account balances, and potential stipends. Students are encouraged to speak with the appropriate university offices before making an enrollment change if they have questions about the financial impact.
