Learn about Livermore's Centennial Light Bulb facts and lore from former City Historian Richard Finn.


Join us at LARPD to hear the stories of Livermore's rich history as Richard shares his research on the perpetually burning Centennial Light Bulb that puts our community on the map!


We will conclude with a short walk over to Fire Station 6 for a view of the light bulb in action, and a brief fireman-guided tour of the living & cooking quarters of our esteemed and vigilant Livermore firefighters.

Follow That Seagull Tour of SF

Follow that Seagull along San Francisco's iconic 49 Mile Scenic Drive, with host Craig Smith as your tour guide extraordinaire.


The Scenic Drive first opened in 1938, and is named for the approximate size of San Francisco (49 square miles) and the '49ers of the Gold Rush. It was designed for guests visiting the 1939-40 World's Fair to see the most important attractions and the beauty of the City.


Go in motorcoach style with LARPD for a comprehensive tour encompassing City Hall, Union Square, Chinatown, Little Italy, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, and Presidio National Park, and then stop for a delicious hosted lunch at the Beach Chalet overlooking the open ocean.


After lunch, hop aboard again to continue the tour along Great Highway, SF Zoo, Golden Gate Park, Laguna Honda, and another stop to disembark for photo ops at Twin Peaks, and then a cruise along Upper Market and Mission Dolores.


Craig will keep you informed of all the trivia and history that syncs with each location!

Finding Wellness 3

Finding Wellness 3 is a 7-week class that helps older adults learn ways to protect their health and thrive. We cover important topics including inflammation, stroke, diabetes, cancer, and ENT health, along with meaningful discussions on letting go, coping with loneliness, and living your best life. Each class is followed by one-on-one coaching appointments with instructor.

Bring a project to work on. (FREE to attend). The Golden Circle, a group of creative retirees, works year-round to create handcrafted goods, which they sell and donate to local charities.

Thursdays | 9-10 am | RLCC 

Zumba Gold-Toning class uses simple, easy-to-follow, and low-impact moves using light weights or toning sticks to improve muscle strength, endurance, bone density, balance, and mobility.


Zumba Gold is easy on the joints for older adults or beginners. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
