A true family fun filled event that is  FREE to all!

What's new at Holiday Lights this year? Here are the activities you don't want to miss:
  • NEW Silent Party from the Freedom Party


Party-goers will be dancing, singing and celebrating the kickoff of the Holiday Lights Celebration with three guest DJs spinning live. The guest DJs spinning are: DJ Cosi and Marc Smooth of Freedom Party; Sandae Sermon feat DJ Stormin Norman; and DJ Vern. Pick up location for headphones is West 125th Street at Morningside.
Tickets for the Silent Party is $10.00 and can be purchased here 
  • New Decorations  along 125  th Street from 5 th Ave to Marginal Streets. Introducing NEW Lighting Designs this YEAR!
  • Health Village at West 124 th street between St. Nicholas and Hancock Streets hosted by Healthfirst, FDNY, NY Department of Mental Health, and the Ryan Center
  • Ugly Sweater Competition at  Olive Garden 100 West 125 th Street. Participating customers will have the chance to show off their ugly holiday sweaters and win an Olive Garden prize.
  • Harlem Funky Hat Competition at  Red Lobster 261 West 125 th Street. Participating customers and invited to create funky hats with a holiday theme.
  • Food and Beverage Tasting at  Whole Foods 100 West 125 th Street. Participants will get to try a variety of food and beverage samplings.
  • PILLARS Sober Party at Pillars 289 St. Nicholas Ave; Lower Level. The four PILLARS are designed to support client's goals for self-actualization, reintegration into their family, positive engagement with the community, and to enjoy a productive life in society.
Activities Returning this year
  • Parade of Lights  

The parade will kickoff at West 125 th  and Amsterdam. A caravan of lit float vehicles and people following the BID's lighting contractor as he turns on the decorative streamers that hang across 125th street, one by one, until 125th street is transformed into a sea of lights.
  • Community Board #9 Children's Village at Harlem Commonwealth Council 361 West 125 th Street Holiday themed entertainment for children, refreshments and kids activities.       
  • Harlem Alpha's Community Stage at Morningside Ave between 124th and 125th Streets hosted by Larry Scott Blackmon. The Community Stage serves as a meeting hub for the Harlem Holiday Lighting Program. Performances by Harlem Entertainers including: Will "Let me see some footwork" Traxx, Boogie Black, Petawane, TapTakeOver. Strolling by the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.!
  • Instore and Outdoor Activities with even more business participation this year including Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Whole Foods
  • Healthfirst Karaoke near the Apollo. Patrons and visitors along 125th Street will have the opportunity to stop and sing as 125th Street is transformed into a sea of lights!
