CAEP Fact Sheets Update: Same Look, Same Place, New Data

The California Community College Chancellor’s Office and the CAEP program are pleased to announce that the CAEP Fact Sheets have been updated to incorporate new data and respond to feedback from the field to make the CAEP Fact Sheets more intuitive and aligned to planning needs of the field. Following is a summary of the two primary changes.
UPDATED: Population Demographics data updated using the most recent 2020 ACS data
ADDED: New tab, Data Stories, has been added to demonstrate how to center students in your analysis and how to integrate quantitative and qualitative data to identify key service and programming questions

CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan in NOVA Webinar
The CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan is now available in NOVA! The CAEP Office and CAEP TAP have worked and continue to work diligently with the NOVA programmers to ensure the three-year plan is intuitive and functional. Access your consortium’s three-year plan in NOVA by clicking the following link.
In NOVA, you will access each section of the three-year plan by clicking on the section names in the blue navigational pane. Each section contains easy-to-understand guidance and helper text to support the development and input of the three-year plan.
The guidance and helper text complements the updated CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan Guidance document. Consortia and members can access the updated document by clicking on the following link.
CFAD and Governance Documents Reminder
The CFAD and governance documents for 2022 are connected to the three-year plan. The CFAD and governance documents will need to submitted and approved by all consortium members in order to submit and approve the three-year plan by June 20, 2022.
Three-Year Plan Webinar in March
The CAEP Office and CAEP TAP will host a webinar in March to address any final supportive needs related to the three-year plan. All details will be released soon.

The California Department of Industrial Relations offers an apprenticeship database to identify local apprenticeship programs. Adult education practitioners and students accessing this database can search available apprenticeship program by selecting a county and an occupation group. That data is current as of February 15, 2022.

Register for OTAN's Technology and Distance Learning Symposium

Registration for OTAN's annual Technology and Distance Learning Symposium (TDLS), which will take place online from March 2 to 4, is open!
TDLS is OTAN's three-day conference with dynamic, hands-on presentations that show participants how to integrate technology to enhance the learner experience, extend the classroom to learners through blended/distance learning, and help adult education programs be more effective and efficient.
Join us at TDLS to learn more about:
- Online learning, blended learning, and distance learning
- A variety of tech tools for the classroom
- How to address digital equity and access, technology integration, online engagement, and many other topics for teachers, administrators, and support staff using technology
- OTAN's Digital Leadership Academy (DLAC) projects

Building on the success of our first-ever virtual conference in 2021, TDLS is once again online this year. Registration is open to the first 800 registrants. TDLS is free, and we hope to see many new faces this year, especially those of you who have not been able to attend TDLS in previous years. EDD: Rural Public Health Workforce Training Network Program – Grant Application Opportunity
|
|
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Health Resources and Services Administration announces the availability of approximately $48 million for the Rural Public Health Workforce Training Network Program (RPHWTN) to expand public health capacity by supporting health care job development, training, and placement in rural and tribal communities. The HHS anticipates awarding 31 grants with a maximum award of approximately $1.5 million for a three-year project period. One of the key elements of the RPHWTN Program is to create stronger linkages between training programs and the health care entities that will ultimately employ these public health professionals.
Applicants must select at least one of the following workforce training tracks and establish a network to implement workforce activities that will directly impact the workforce training track(s):
- Track #1 – Community Health Support
- Track #2 – Health IT and/or Telehealth Technical Support
- Track #3 – Community Para-Medicine
- Track #4 – Case Management Staff and/or Respiratory Therapists
Eligible applicants must be public or private, non-profit or for-profit entities, including faith-based, community-based, tribes and tribal organizations with demonstrated experience serving, or the capacity to serve, rural underserved populations. The closing date for receipt of proposals is March 18, 2022.

CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan Peer Learning Circles
|
|
Want to engage with CAEP consortia around relevant questions concerning the CAEP 2022-25 Three-Year Plan? Join us for monthly three-year plan peer learning circles (PLCs). The topic-focused discussions will address questions related to progress towards completing the three-year plan. The PLCs will be facilitated by CAEP consortium directors. The intended audience are consortium directors and staff who are leading their consortium’s three-year planning process.
The monthly PLCs are scheduled for the following dates and times:
- Friday, February 25, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
- Friday, March 18, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
