LINK TO HOPE NEWSLETTER

A message from the Executive Director - Melissa Karrer

Hi Friends,

We're still seeking sponsors (and players) for our 11th annual Links to Hope golf scramble this year on September 15th at Champions golf course again.

This is a great way to get involved and support our mission and to be a link to hope for so many Kentuckians who need our help. Reach out to Melanie, if you're interested in these opportunities, or if you have questions. Save the date and we hope to see you there!

We never take for granted the opportunity to serve our Kentucky communities and can only continue to do so through crucial funding of our mission. So far, this year, we've provided nearly 2,500 services to over 1,600 Kentuckians in 109 of the 120 counties in the Commonwealth!

Thank you for staying connected! Let's continue to work together to be a link to hope for our fellow Kentuckians!

Cheers,

Melissa

Please consider supporting our mission financially in 2025 so that we can continue mailing fuel cards to cancer patients with transportation barriers and providing free wigs and post mastectomy garments to women in need and to make the greatest impact in our communities throughout the Commonwealth. All of our donations stay local to help Kentuckians in need.

Your involvement can make a significant difference!

Out and About

Melissa attended UK Markey Cancer Center's Expressions of Courage event for cancer survivors on June 6th at Kroger Field in Lexington. Being a breast cancer survivor herself, of nearly 13 years, this event is very meaningful. KCL is honored to attend this event each year.

Melanie attended the Med Center Health Health & Wellness Expo on June 7th at the Slone Convention Center in Bowling Green. Melanie was there to offer education on KCL resources & support available to those affected by cancer or in need of screenings. She was additionally able to offer take-home FITS for eligible individuals.

Melanie was in Cynthiana on June 12th at 3M for their employee health fair. We love opportunities to educate the community and share resources with Kentuckians.

Melanie attended Gilda's Club Kentuckiana's Community is Stronger than Cancer Day on June 28th in Louisville. This event celebrates the strength of community for those impacted by cancer and fosters connections with other cancer related resources and support.
