Hi Friends,
As the first signs of Spring start to appear, March brings a sense of renewal and hope, especially for those navigating a cancer diagnosis. At Kentucky CancerLink, we are stepping into this new month with renewed energy to support patients, caregivers, and survivors. We want to help them bloom even in the difficult seasons.
This month, through our collaborative event with Gilda's Club Kentuckiana on March 26, we'll be hosting Melanie Day, owner of You've Got Curls & Hair Loss Center, to discuss hair health, hair loss, regrowth & more. This is a great opportunity to "ask the expert" about anything you've ever wanted to know about hair health and more.
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month- a month to emphasize the importance of screenings, promoting prevention, and supporting those fighting the disease. While colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the country, we can try to change that grim statistic by getting screened. We also raise awareness, in March, for kidney cancer and multiple myeloma. Be sure to check out the links in the graphic below for ways we can reduce our risks for these and all cancer types.
Your continued support helps us ensure no Kentuckian faces a cancer diagnosis alone. Consider a monthly gift and help us reach more individuals in need of screenings, transportation assistance through our gas card program, and patient support services like wigs, post-mastectomy items, & more. Every donation makes a difference Click here to donate today!
Congratulations to the winners of our bourbon raffle fundraiser "Hope on the Rocks": Andrew Henderson, Gena Beard, Bryan Willett, & Jason Head. Thank you for supporting our mission while taking home some of Kentucky's finest bourbon. 💜🥃
