LINK TO HOPE NEWSLETTER

A message from the Executive Director - Melissa Karrer

Hi Friends,

May is a busy month full of celebrations-we celebrate Derby, Cinco de Mayo, Mother's Day, graduations, and Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for us and it's also the unofficial beginning of Summer.

This month, in just a few short days-on Friday, May 9th, we will be hosting our Link to Hope Pickleball Fundraiser at the Genesis Health Club-Lexington Tennis Club at 6:30 pm. We hope you can join us for this fun event that helps us raise funds for our mission to provide hope to Kentuckians in need through resources & support!

We are hosting our 11th annual Links to Hope Golf Scramble this year on September 15 at Champions golf course again! Save the date and stay tuned for more information to come.

We are thankful for the opportunity to serve our Kentucky communities and can only do that through the generosity of others.

Thank you for staying connected! Let's continue to work together to be a link to hope for our fellow Kentuckians!

Cheers,

Melissa

Delicious Ideas

Strawberry Mint Mocktail

This recipe is so delicious and refreshing and easy too. It's great for all ages and is super versatile.

The fresh mint and strawberries blend together creating a vibrant flavor and would be an excellent offering at a Derby party or any type of gathering.

Mexican Street Corn

Elote Dip

This recipe turns this popular street corn dish into a delectable dip marrying together the wonderful flavors of cream cheese, lime juice and cotija cheese.

This would be a great dip to serve at a summer soiree or a Cinco de mayo celebration.

Sean Brock's Pimento Cheese

Sean Brock is a renowned chef and restauranter in the Nashville area and his signature pimento cheese recipe is one of my favorites.

Using fresh ingredients is key and you have to let those flavors meld together before you dig in for sure.
