Dear Links Players Women,
Wishing you and your cherished family a joyous and meaningful Christmas season! As we come together to celebrate, let us reflect on the true essence of this special time—honoring the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, who has bestowed us the gift of eternal salvation, as beautifully expressed in John 1:14, "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."
May the warmth of the season permeate your heart, mind, and soul, bringing boundless joy and inspiration. As we approach the new year, I pray for health, joy in the Lord, prosperity, and an abundance of blessings for you and your loved ones.
I extend heartfelt gratitude to all who generously participated in our Giving Tuesday event on November 28th, 2023, in support of our women's ministry. Your contributions, whether in the form of monetary gifts, time, talents, or prayers, have been invaluable and truly appreciated.
In reflecting on the journey of our women's ministry throughout
2023, it's evident that the Lord's favor has been upon us. The ministry has blossomed with over 40 women's fellowships, each contributing to the vibrant tapestry of our golfing communities.
An exciting milestone was reached with our inaugural women's trip this past June— a fun blend of faith, fellowship, and fairways. Anticipation is building for our 2024 LPI women's summer golf trip, and we are actively exploring various locations. If you feel compelled to contribute to the formation of this trip, please reach out to Meredith Kirk.
Our LPI women's website has been a resounding tool for evangelism, attracting 3700 visitors since its launch. If you haven't had the chance to explore it yet, there is a wealth of information about Links Players Women waiting for you. Please continue to send in fellowship pictures and updates.
Looking ahead, our two-year vision for the women's ministry encompasses a dynamic initiative: a 52-week women's devotional for new fellowships, the establishment of national and regional LPI Ambassador teams, fundraising initiatives, events, facilitator/leader support, social media and website content, and women-to-women mentoring.
To turn this vision into reality, we seek the support of dedicated volunteers as LPI Volunteer Ambassadors. I am pleased to welcome the past year, Lisa Major as our LPI Lead Ambassador of Facilitation and Kathy Knapp as our LPI Lead Ambassador of Women's Devotionals. Their commitment and contributions have been instrumental. If you feel led to join our facilitation team or women's devotional efforts, please reach out to them directly.
Currently, we are fervently praying for women called to lead in our LPI Women's Prayer Ministry, LPI Women's Development team, LPI Women's Communication/Digital Content team, and LPI Women's Hospitality/Events Team. If your gifts and talents align with any of these areas within our ministry, and you feel called to serve this ministry, we wholeheartedly welcome your involvement. The mission field within the fairways of life is vast, and with your help, we can continue to spread the gospel and share Christ's love in the fairways of life.
In closing, I express gratitude for your steadfast support and participation in our Links Players Women's Ministry. I am eagerly anticipating the remarkable ways the Lord will move within our ministry in 2024. Glory to God in the Highest (Luke 2:14)!
