Kathy Knapp became a Christian at the age of thirty-four. Her first prayer was, “HELP, teach me fast, and Who is Jesus”. She attended every Bible Study available in order to quickly learn God’s truths she had missed out on or completely ignored. Radically transformed would be an understatement. She has taught every level of Sunday School, served as a Bible Study Fellowship leader and Pregnancy Care Center Counselor.
For twelve years she wrote a column for the local newspaper’s Faith section titled “Respectfully Yours”. Kathy has also served as a short-term missionary church trainer in Mexico and Uganda using studies she wrote. Then, to further her understanding of Jesus, the Messiah, God sent her to Israel to serve the Messianic congregations as a women’s conference speaker and later as volunteer staff member for a Messianic congregation in Akko, Israel where she lived for eight months.
God answered her three requests. He provided her spiritual education through her service, and sometimes through suffering, for over 35 years and He continues to this day.
Kathy and her husband, Allan, live in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas where they both play golf on the two courses at the club. Her husband’s membership with Links Players led her to start a women’s group. They are proud to be a very blended family of four adult children, their spouses and fifteen grandchildren ages five to thirty.
Her Life Verse is Romans 8:28
