Friday May 15th, 2020
Dear Immanuel family,

This school year has been like no other. We appreciate your patience and persistence as we moved instruction to an on-line format. Now that the weather is finally improving, hopefully you can get some fresh air and your kids can play outside. We are giving two more weeks for students to get all assignments turned in. Sycamore has all of the assignments listed for students in grades 6-8 where letter grades will be awarded. Report cards will be generated in all grades, but for students in K-5th, look for an expanded narrative instead of letter grades. We want to note the efforts that students made without penalizing them for these extreme circumstances.

The teachers do know that the beginning of the year will include more review of the previous year than typically happens. I think, in time, this will even out as children work to catch up and fill in any gaps that were left by distance learning.

Finally, I want to thank you, personally for the support you have shown me over the past ten years. I will continue to pray for you and your children when I am in Georgia. I am moving there soon and after this May, I'm looking forward to some warmer weather. I covet your prayers as well as my family and I make this transition.

God's continued blessings,
Sharon Wallace
