Services provided include:
- Spot Vision testing, Glaucoma testing, vision acuity testing, detailed eye examination by optometrists and ophthalmologists, provision of recycled eyeglasses, provision of new eyeglasses where necessary, ongoing treatment by Lions Eye Foundation, where appropriate.
Many volunteers will be needed for these services:
- Car parking, language translation (Spanish, Vietnamese, other), registration, Spot Vision camera operation, vision acuity testing, eyeglass dispensing, set up, tear down, plus one experienced videographer to record events on the day.
Update from John: I'm happy to report that we have received 407 registrations for the clinic. With over a month to go I'm positive that we will have a full house on April 23rd. So for the event to be a total success we need lots of help on the day. With that many clients volunteers are guaranteed to be busy.
If any Club would like to assist with costs, we would welcome contributions.
Running 2 shifts, 8:30 to 1:00pm and 12:30 to 5:00pm
