Dear SJPS Families,
Our partnership with OASD for providing lunches to our children has been wonderful! The food looks fabulous and receives "thumbs-up" from the children! There is a small change with children needing only a milk at lunch.
We were informed that there is a charge of fifty cents for milk if it is not ordered with a meal. Please send exact change in with your child if they will be having milk with their cold lunch.
A note from Ms. Muehlbauer:
"Usually at this time, the students would be preparing to perform in the Christmas concert. To continue the tradition during our current circumstances, the students are busy in "Santa's Musical Workshop," preparing a virtual surprise which will be revealed at the end of January. Stay tuned!"
Thank you to Brecken Byczek's family for bringing the Snoopy train and joy to our children and to all the families who donated toys. This brought such a welcome smile to all of our faces!
Christmas vacation is December 21 through January 1. Students return to school on January 4.
Thank you for understanding that with Christmas and New Year's drawing near, choosing to limit your family's gatherings and social events with others outside of your household is truly the best proactive step you can take to slow the spread of the virus, especially within our school. Personally, Thanksgiving was very difficult for me with not being able to share our turkey dinner with all of my children. We plan to do the same at Christmas and that makes me very sad, but we will get through this and we look forward to future times that we will spend together. Thank you to those of you who have contacted me that you will be self-quarantining after your return from your gathering. It seems strange and excessive, but we want to error on keeping all of us healthy and safe. Our teachers are fabulous and with VIL, and your support with virtual learning at home, our children will continue to learn, grow, and excel!
Peace and blessings,
