Zion’s School Mission: “Teaching Christ and Serving Families.” The school shares Christ by teaching students about Christ and changes lives by serving the school families.
Our vision is that all students will experience God’s love and forgiveness and learn to show that same forgiveness to others. Students will be safe, responsible, and respectful to themselves and others, and achieve academically to the best of their ability.

"On Fire for Christ"
‘For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.’

A Message from the Principal
We’ve had a great first week and a half of school! Our school has been bustling with energy. Students are engaged in learning and reconnecting with friends and teachers. Hearing their voices and seeing everyone laughing and smiling again warms all of our hearts. Thank you, parents, for your continued support of Zion Lutheran School. It’s going to be an amazing school year!

Back To School night is a parent-only event. If you need to bring
your child, please keep your child with you at all times, so as to not
cause a distraction to our teachers as they take the time to cover
all of the necessary information to the parents.
Parents are only asked to go to one session (either 1st or 2nd).
We offer 2 sessions for parents who have multiple children attending Zion.
We’re looking for 4th and 5th graders interested in participating in this year’s “Battle of the Books!”

Parents are welcome to learn more and ask questions at 5:00pm on Wednesday, August 30th at Back to School Night in the library. In September, we will schedule our first student meeting for the 4th and 5th graders to sign up and select books if they are interested in participating.

Please email Ms. Diana Dippner or Mrs. Nicole Marinaccio with any further questions:

SHARE YOUR PHOTOS

Zion has created an email account specifically for parents and families to share their photos with the school. Zion is blessed to have so many parents that take incredible photos of our students on field trips, at parties, at sporting events, etc. Zion would love for parents to share the pictures to be used in our yearbook and Lion's Tale, etc. Please take the time at some of the events and field trips coming up to share some photos with us. You can send them to:
Friday Ice Cream

1st grade will be selling ice cream on Fridays starting in September for $1 for each item during lunch recess.
Proceeds will go to 1st-grade field trips
Parent Participation Hours

Your support is important to us. Families not choosing to participate in the 30 hours will be charged $10.00 for each non-served hour. Fees will be charged at the end of each semester. Eighth-grade parents will be charged at the end of the first semester and at the beginning of May. It is not the primary intent of this program to charge families with fees, but rather to see families involved in the programs and activities.
All Parent volunteer opportunities may be found in the weekly Lion's Tale.

The Lunch MOB - Bringing Fresh & Wholesome Back to Your School!
The MOB wishes you a happy and Healthy Back to School 2023!
Dear Families,

We would like to thank all the families who participated in the Scrip program this past year. You benefited Zion as a whole and received a tuition rebate as well. (When you signed up for the rebate program.) We invite all families to purchase Scrip and enjoy the benefits.

Scrip means “substitute money” when you purchase Scrip you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. By purchasing Scrip you help benefit Zion Lutheran Church and Schools.

Receive Tuition Rebate! For every $100 in Scrip you purchase, Zion will hold $2.00 in your tuition account. On your child's May tuition bill we will subtract the amount in your Scrip rebate account from your bill. For example, if your May payment is normally $450.00 and you have accumulated $200.00 in SCRIP rebates, then your actual May payment will be $250.00. The rebate period runs from May 2023– April 2024.
This past school year one family earned $382.20, and another family earned 363.81.

To get started use the attached Scrip order form and start ordering Scrip today and accumulating your rebate. Just drop your order with payment attached in any tuition box located in the School office, SAC lobby, ECEC office, or Church office. Make checks payable to “Zion Scrip” and mark rebate designation, if no designation is marked then it will be applied to Zion's general fund. You may also purchase Scrip on Sunday mornings between church services. We also are participating in the Scrip Now program. Families will be able to purchase scrip themselves, online, attached is the flyer that explains this program, how it works, and Zion's enrollment code. Shop with Scrip now offers you to use a credit card to purchase your scrip.

Create the Scrip habit by purchasing Scrip weekly for gas and groceries. One of the great things about Scrip is that it does not cost you one penny more than you normally spend on regular purchases! Remember the Scrip program when making big purchases, like flooring, paint, furniture, appliances, and home repairs. You can also have your family, friends, and co-workers purchase Scrip.  Use Scrip for birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas gifts.
Join the Scrip program today!

Thank you for your support!!
