Zion’s School mission is “Teaching Christ and Serving Families.” The school shares Christ by teaching students about Christ and changes lives by serving the school families.

Our vision is that all students will experience God’s love and forgiveness and learn to show that same forgiveness to others. Students will be safe, responsible, and respectful to themselves and others, and achieve academically to the best of their ability.

Dear Zion Families,
It’s time to gather up all those future little Zion Lions and send them to our annual Kindergarten Information Night. This meeting will be conducted through ZOOM this year, with a separate scheduled private tour of our campus and classrooms. If you know someone looking for a quality Christian education, please invite them to join us on ZOOM this Thursday, February 4th, at 6:30 p.m. Remember, any referrals that enroll at Zion translate into a reduction on your tuition statement, so start inviting your friends and family! This is a great opportunity to share what’s going on at your child’s school!
Need Parent Hours??

If you have not already done so, I invite you to share with us why Zion Lutheran School is special to you. Please send your testimonial to and you will receive 2 hours of parent participation hours.
Here at our ECEC, we spend much of our time outdoors. Fresh air is healthier for the children, especially during this time. Anything that can be done in the indoor classroom can also be done in the outdoor classroom.

Lisa Murphy, M.Ed.; (also known as the Ooey Gooey Lady) is an advocate for child development. She has this insight on outdoor play, having you think back on your childhood:
Where did you play when you were little? Who designed it? Could you go back there today? Who were you with? What did you do? Where were the adults? How long do your kids get to play outside? What would happen if you stayed outside all day?
1. You cannot EXPERIENCE the outdoors when you are inside! You have to be out to experience nature and the natural world.
2. It is where you cultivate & learn environmental values and awareness.
3. It is where we came from.
4. Children are physical, multi-sensory beings.
5. Are they hyper? Or Inactive?
6. Current obesity AND mental health crisis in our children.
7. There is freedom in outdoor play.
8. Connections with the community.

Join us this Sunday for Pastor Tim's New Series
Love Ain't -
Hope and Help for all of Life's Relationships.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. ~ 1 John 4:10.
What is love? Countless songs poems, films, and people have asked this age-old question.  Lovers and philosophers have tried to give many answers yet questions still remain. What has led to your questions? Was it an early heartbreak? Was it a complicated situation? Was it the challenge of raising and loving a family?  Is it what you see on the news?  We, and our world, have never been more confused about what love is.  From those closest to us to those we would rather not be around, our relationships need help!   In this series we will find hope and help for all of life’s relationships from the one who is Love, Jesus. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. (John 15:12) So let’s receive it, get clear about it, and share it!
P.S. Our series will conclude on Valentine’s Day, Sunday February 14th with a vow renewal for our couples. So bring your Valentine for Life! - Pastor Tim

We are planning for a Single Sunday Service outside at 9:30 am. Enjoy a beautiful service outdoors located on God's playground in the courtyard area over by the school with plenty of space to spread out for social distancing.

Senior Parking available between the Gym and SAC buildings.

We will have two entrances for people to enter:

  1. The walkthrough gate between the playground and preschool area
  2. The walkthrough gate by the gym.

We encourage you to invite your family and friends, and while wearing your mask, join your brothers and sisters in Christ for a responsible social distance worship experience!

Although we encourage you to join us on God's Playground in the courtyard area, if you are unable to join us in person, we encourage you to watch the Facebook Live streaming of our services at 9:30 AM. Our weekly Zion Buzz newsletter will have a copy of the service bulletin with the words to the liturgy, scriptures, songs, and prayers so that you can join us in lifting your hearts and voices in worship.
Zion serves Communion on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month at our in-person service. However, we also remain available to provide “touchless” communion to you at your home. Simply request a kit through the church office or click here to sign up for an @Home Communion Kit.

We are continuing to take reservations (RSVP) for the time being so that we can ensure the health and safety of all who are attending. Let us know you're coming by registering yourself and your family. Please note, that an RSVP is required by all people including children.

Life is full of challenges.  Many of them life just throws at us and we see how we will fair through them.  2020 for example was full of challenges we didn’t get to choose.  2021 seems to be more of the same.  But there are many other challenges we get to choose – or friends choose for us buy inviting us on social media; the ice bucket challenge, the no sugar challenge, the let a website choose your personality challenge, the math pun challenge, the list goes on and on.  Some are helpful or at lease benefit a good cause – others just waste your time!
But what if you could choose a challenge that would better prepare you for the challenges you don’t get to choose?  The Red Letter Challenge is just that.  It’s a challenge to join our church in READING and DOING the words of Jesus for 40 days. If you know that you were made for something more, if you want to grow closer to Jesus, and if you want to make a greater difference in this world, the Red Letter Challenge is for you!  Even if you still are not sure about Jesus, reading his own words for 40 days is a great way to get to know Him.
You may start down the Red Letter Challenge path, but be warned, along the way Jesus is going to challenge you through His own words to Be, Forgive, Serve, Give, and Go in His Name.  Do you have what it takes to follow Jesus? Let’s find out together in our new series and small groups.
