Volume 27
April 1, 2020
Zion Families,

We pray for all of our church and school families. We pray for our families whose members are on the front lines working in health care, law enforcement, public service, food industries/ services, news media, financial institutions, construction, safety, sanitation and many more. We pray for our families who are worried about finances, and for our families who have health concerns. Please let us know if we can assist you with any of your needs.

Blessings,
Mrs. Lyles and Mrs. Jacobson

Prayers:
  • We pray that the Lord of all will bring healing to those who are sick, comfort to those who mourn, and an end to the spread of this virus.
  • Prayers for strength to all who are on the front line of this pandemic
  • Prayers to our Zion families
WE PRAY..COVID-19 -- for infection rates to slow and cease; that those who have been infected will heal quickly; that healthcare staff and first responders will be sustained as they carry this very heavy burden; that our churches, schools and preschools would be sustained and reliant on our loving God and His guidance; for courage and peace for our pastors, lay leaders, church and school administrators, faculties, and all church and school workers who are making difficult decisions and creating innovative solutions for continuing to reach people for the sake of the Gospel; for our federal, state and local leaders to seek God's will as they make important decisions and take actions against this disease; for God to bring many, many people to faith through this situation, and that His Church would be more effective than ever in sharing the Gospel with the lost and loving our neighbors.

Pastoral Call Process Update:
The Call Committee met with President Gibson to discuss the candidates that have been identified. Zion is officially into the next phase of the call process. We have President Gibson's undivided attention at this time. We have 12 recommended pastors. The list will be ready to make calls before Easter. We'll make calls, conduct interviews, visit their congregations, watch their sermons online to see if they are the right fit for Zion. God already knows who our Pastor is, we just need to keep praying and trust Him.
