Thank you for investing a couple of minutes to answer this "Info Sharing Survey". We seek to provide information and also to receive feedback. Recent conversations have indicated that the information being shared is important for people to understand, while the feedback is important for the School Ministry's leadership.
Thanks for completing this survey about Zion Support and Sunday Singing:
Building Habits (BH):
Starting the year right means getting into healthy habits from the get-go. Check back weekly to learn ways to help your family gear up for student success all around campus!

Bed time can be hard at this time of year. By now families are well into the school year routines for getting up and out the door, but falling asleep while the sun is still hovering on the horizon can be frustrating for everyone. Here are some tips:
Be consistent with the schedule, even on weekends...if at all humanly possible.
Get kids to be early on Saturday evening since sleep studies show that fatigue from lost sleep often affects us two days later. If this is true, then it follows that Saturday night is the sleep for Monday’s productivity!
Get light blocking drapes or curtains. They’re not so pretty, but they sure do work! I never knew about these until moving to China where the whole country had one time zone. In Shanghai, we were in the easternmost part of the country where the sun “rose” at about 5 AM...sometimes earlier! This might work in Beijing (hour “later” sun-wise), but in Shanghai, we needed to block the sun!
Limit screen time (any sort of screen, even e-readers!) and stop completely at 1-1.5 hours before bedtime. (Yeah, I know...this is very hard with a working family’s schedule!)
Breathe, pray, share quieter stories with each other. Start to quiet down.

National Hispanic Heritage Month starts NOW!
This month we will invest some time learning about the contributions of Hispanic Americans to our overall society and to our local community and Zion Family. Please send accounts of your family or friends who have been a blessing to Anaheim, Orange County, California, the USA, or our Zion Family. We will post these on Facebook, so photos and brief accounts would be great. We know you have these stories, Lions, so share on! Thanks.
Prayers:  For our administrative and campus ministry staff, including… That they would make sure our communication, campus, and community are supported and strengthened for our children, our families, and the people God sends to be here.

·          Fall Fundraiser -
On behalf of PTSL, we would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for your tremendous amount of support with the Fall Fundraiser!! We met our goal!!! Which means that we will be preparing for our special school-wide reward… please stay tuned for more details (HINT… it might have something to do with our principal, some teachers, and water balloons).
We were able to sell $10,545.50, which way surpassed our goal of $8,000! I will keep everyone posted as soon as we find out exactly how much we will receive back in profit, but it should be close to around $5,000. Special shout out to Mrs. Justice’s class - who had 92% participation (with all but one student participating), Miss Hitchcock’s class – who had 88% participation (with all but one student participating), and Mrs. Tordil’s class – who also had 88% participation (with all but one student participating). A very special shout out goes out to Lily Shackelly – who raised the most amount of money and also to Makenzie Middleton, who came in at a very close second!
For those students who sold 9 items or more and for the classes that had close to 90% participation, be on the lookout for details for the DJ Glow Party you will be attending!
