Liskow & Lewis Listed as a Top Defense Firm for Torts Litigation
Law360 recently published an article reviewing Lex Machina’s Law Firms Activity Report and provided some interesting findings. The Lex Machina Report retrospectively reviewed and analyzed law firm activity related to United States federal courts in 15 practice areas from 2018 to 2020.
In the report rankings, Liskow & Lewis ranked near the top of busiest counsel in the defense of tort litigation. During that three year span, Liskow participated in the defense of more than 6,000 cases just in United States federal courts. Liskow is busy for a reason - our clients can count on us.
Liskow is equipped to address every legal issue that may be presented to its clients. And now more than ever, the ability to mount a robust tort defense and handle high stakes litigation and significant volumes of cases is vital to our clients’ interests. This tort practice includes defending cases originating from many sources, including but not limited to, marine, construction, energy production and refining, industrial operations, and transportation. Liskow has long been a leader in successfully handling toxic tort litigation, and this continues to be a fast growing part of its underlying tort defense practice. These toxic tort matters include oil and chemical spills, occupational disease (hydrocarbons, asbestos, and any number of chemicals), environmental or legacy property damage, radiation or NORM exposure, products liability, and environmental releases resulting in community exposure claims.

Liskow has the specialized knowledge and training necessary to handle complex medical and scientific issues likely to arise in toxic tort and other injury cases. The firm is recognized by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers with the highest national tier ranking in Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions - Defendants.

Individually, many Liskow lawyers are recognized by Chambers and Partners, The Best Lawyers in America, Litigation Counsel of America, and Super Lawyers. If you or your company is interested in learning more about what Liskow & Lewis may be able to do for you, please contact the below.
