The GSGC model is rippling across Southern Africa. A community near Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe has embraced our locally-led efforts to increase opportunities and education for young people, thus helping alleviate poverty.

Get Ready to Vote!
GSGC club members so enjoyed last year’s creative contest — dubbed I Am An African Girl — that they wanted an opportunity to sing, dance, write or draw this year, too. This creative outlet means more than ever during the long pandemic lockdown.

We’re calling the contest Creative Expressions this year, since the GSGC community now includes a boys club. Girls and boys will submit their entries by July 31, and we’ll let you know about how you can vote for your favorites in early September. We will announce the winners in the September GSGC newsletter.

We’re excited to see what these smart, talented and determined young people come up with. Stay tuned.
