The Litchfield Chamber of Commerce helped to welcome to town the St. Francis Way Clinic at its opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Located at 805 St. Francis Way on the campus of HSHS St. Francis Hospital across from the Emergency Department, the clinic is a behavioral health and substance use treatment center operated by the Macoupin County Public Health Department (MCPHD).
Kent Tarro, MCPHD CEO, stated, "This clinic addresses the needs of our area for enhanced behavioral services. St. Francis Way Clinic is designed to help patients break down barriers that are keeping them from engaging in treatment and recovery services. The treatment team will work to build individualized care plans for each patient with the end goal being recovery."
Programs and services available at the clinic include medication-assisted treatments (MAT), individual and group therapy, case management support, and more. It is open to individuals 18 and older.
On-site treatment is available for:
- Substance use disorders
- Depression and anxiety
- PTSD
- OCD/ADD/ADHD
- Bi-polar disorder
- Schizophrenia
