Important Announcements

We have the unfortunate task to inform you that our Program Manager, Lena Webb is going to pursue other career opportunities and will be leaving Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester in late July. Lena joined the organization four years ago and has made a important impact on the program’s operations including the volunteer tutor program. She wanted to share her thoughts with you:

"It has been a joy getting to know, working with, and learning from students, tutors, teachers, and staff at Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester these past four years. I truly value and appreciate the time spent with all of you and am continually inspired by all your hard work, dedication, and creativity. As I move on to new things I will always remember the people I've had the privilege of knowing and all that I've learned during my time at LVGW.

Thank you and I wish you all the best!"

During the month of July , Redemption Rock Brewing company in Worcester is donating their taproom tips to LVGW. Please encourage all of your friends, family and colleagues to visit Redemption Rock taproom during the month of July!

Helpful web resources for English learners

Are you new to Zoom? Check out these tutorials for using Zoom on a computer or smartphone. The videos are in English with subtitles available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French.

Cynthia recommends Write & Improve to practice writing skills. Write & Improve is a free tool that helps every learner to improve their English writing. Learners can choose between beginner, intermediate, and advance levels. It's also a great resource for teachers.
