First-Gen & Mentor Program

Legacy Scholars/First-Gen Program

Legacy Scholars is a community for first-gen college students at the University of Alabama, designed to build connections among students who are starting a new college legacy. This program also has a Mentorship Program where an adult who was a "First-Gen" can provide extra guidance, answer questions, and just simply "be there" for a new student who comes to UA as a "First-Gen". Interested in learning how you as a First-Gen Alumni can now help the next generation conquer what you went through as a first-gen student?
