SUPERHERO Recycling Day
Monday, April 22 nd
Calling all superheroes! Calling all superheroes! In celebration of Earth Day, we are calling forth all superheroes to our school as we learn how to reduce, reuse, and recycle our planet's resources. Children are invited to wear their favorite superhero costumes on this special day as we take a closer look at this beautiful world God has made.
NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER
Because of the faith of many of our founding fathers, public prayer and national days of prayer have a long-standing and significant history in American tradition. Since the first call to prayer in 1775, when the Continental Congress asked the colonies to pray for wisdom in forming a nation, the call to prayer has continued through our history. In 1952, a joint resolution by Congress, declared an annual National Day of Prayer. The unanimous passage of the bill establishing the National Day of Prayer as an annual event, signifies that prayer is as important to our nation today as it was in the beginning. The theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer is “Love One Another.” The entire school will gather after Chapel on Monday, April 29th for a special time of prayer.

COMMUNITY HERO
Celia Burger—Artist
Tuesday, April 30 th
9:30-11:00am
Our superhero character trait for the month of April is diligence; and the Bible verse is from Colossians 3:23 which states, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart.” Ms. Celia is an artist who will share her drawing and painting ability with our children. Artists must exhibit diligence to persevere with their “masterpieces” until they are satisfied. We are excited to welcome her to our school.

RAISING FUTURE HEROES
Jesus worked hard at his job of proclaiming the Kingdom of God. (Luke 4:42-44) Jesus and his disciples diligently walked from place to place, carrying out God’s plan. Right before Jesus died on the cross, he said “it is finished.” His mission was complete! He did what he was supposed to do all the way to the end. There are always lots of opportunities to practice diligence in day to day life. Whether it’s learning to tie your shoes or trying a new recipe, learning a new task takes a lot of hard work and diligence. Don’t worry if you don’t get it right the first time, be diligent and try again! Kabam!
ENRICHMENT APRIL FUN
Everything is in bloom in the afternoon enrichment classes. Children will be planting flowers from seeds and learning about all types of critters like ladybugs and butterflies. A special day is set aside for hunting Easter eggs around the church property. Spring is in the air!

REMINDERS FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR
We want to remind parents who have children entering our 3-year-old classes that your child must be completely potty trained before the start of the new school year. We do not have diaper changing facilities in these classrooms. If you are a parent of a child who is entering our Toddler class, for safety reasons, all children must be able to walk on their own and be steady on their feet. Please remember that our Toddler’s do not take morning naps. Summertime might be the perfect opportunity to acclimate your child to one nap in the afternoon.

SAFETY FIRST!
New Procedure
Recently, there have been a few close calls with drivers and children on the Trinity campus. It has made us keenly aware of the need for heightened awareness and new procedures to ensure the safety of our children. Moving forward, the road to the Youth Building and the North Oaks playground will be closed after 1pm pick up on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We also ask that you be vigilant and cautious when driving on the Trinity campus. Thank you!
