Steps to Take if Your Child Faces Bullying or Harassment in School

As the new school year begins, parents must be vigilant to report and advocate against any bullying of their child. Student bullying and harassment can be a health risk to students and can impact their education. Bullying has increased in the past years and can have devastating and tragic consequences. Meet the Team: Nicholas N. Khayumov

Q: What drew you into elder law?

After exploring various fields of law, I noticed that elder law was one of the few remaining fields that still had a “human” element to it. Being able to deal with people, their loved ones, and ensuring that their needs are being met brings me great joy.

Q: What is your favorite part of the job?

Being able to collect the stored wisdom of my clients as they enter their twilight years.

Q: What is your dream vacation?

Japan!

Q: What are your favorite hobbies?

I love hiking and reconnecting with nature. I have also spent many weekend afternoons tirelessly restoring collectible automobiles. I have been doing this since I was 16 years old with some old friends and have not been able to stop.

Q: Do you have a favorite movie or book?

As a child, my favorite books were from the Harry Potter series. As for movies, A Bronx Tale is definitely up there!

It gives one something to do. Something practical to take control over in an otherwise uncontrolled circumstance.

To that end, my clients have found this list particularly helpful, and I hope you do too.
