On behalf of the Knights of Columbus St. Alphonsus Liguori Council, thank you for your generosity with last month’s household goods collection in support of our homeless veterans! The parish collected thousands of items valued at $1,437.00! These contributions go a long way in balancing the expenses for food, medicine and all the other necessities of re-starting a veteran’s journey out of homelessness.

You were “church” to someone who really needed your help. Hooray for you!

The concert will feature several classic and contemporary Advent & Christmas songs performed by all our musicians who participate in our weekly masses along with spoken reflections & poems.
The St. Alphonsus Music Ministry invites you to a "Season of Hope" Advent concert on Friday, December 2nd at 7 p.m. in the church

This event is free to all and will be sure to fill your hearts with the true meaning of Christmas.
Monday is the Feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
“Anna and Joachim offered Mary to God in the Temple when she was 3 years old. This was to carry out a promise made to God when Anna was still childless.”
o Read a short description about this Feast from Franciscan Media here.
o With your children watch this 2 minute video about Mary’s presentation in the temple here.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Cecilia, Pope St. Clement I, St. Columban, Blessed Miguel Agustin Pro, St. Andrew Dūng-Lac and Companions, and St. Catherine of Alexandria intercede to God on your behalf this week.
Blessing of the Advent Wreath at Home
Lord our God,
we praise you for your Son, Jesus Christ:
he is Emmanuel, the hope of the peoples,
he is the wisdom that teaches and guides us,
he is the Savior of every nation.

Lord God,
let your blessing come upon us
as we light the candles of this wreath.
May the wreath and its light
be a sign of Christ's promise to bring us salvation;
may he come quickly and not delay.
We ask this through Christ our Lord

R. Amen.
