Take 10 Member Spotlight:  Amy Dowd

What is your name?  Amy Dowd

What's your current job?  I am Owner and Chief Geek of Coastal Marketing Solutions. I help clients grow their business by identifying the best and most cost efficient ways to engage their customers.

What do you love most about it? I love seeing my clients' businesses grow by making just a few smart changes. I have a great group of clients and really enjoy the relationships I have built with them. They know I have been around marketing on Cape Cod for a long time and know how to reach any target market.

How long have you been a member of Cape Space and what do you like most about it thus far?  I have been a member of Cape Space since September of 2016.  Well first of all, Robbin, Anna, Jeffrey & Katelyn! They are great to work with and go out of their way to help find anything you might need. I usually work from home and that can be very isolating and also not convenient to meet with clients.  Having the chance to come in and work in the business lounge and feed off of the energy of being in an office setting is great. I also love having the opportunity to using the interview rooms to meet with a client or vendor.

You are also a CapeSpace Affinity Program Vendor. Why don't you tell us a little about that and your offer? Yes, I am really pleased to be involved. I am a Solution Provider with Constant Contact now, but way, WAY before that I was a customer of theirs in my past life as a Marketing Director at a local bank. I know first hand how important it is to stay in front of your customers to maintain the relationship, because if you don't your competitors will lure them away.  That is why I recommend that people use Constant Contact and my clients have been very successful using it to educate, inform and make offers to their customers and prospects.  There is an offer for CapeSpace members to signup for Constant Contact using my link in the offer and I will create a template that matches their company branding ($250 value).  Already signed up with them? Let's talk, I will find another offer!

When not working, what do you like to do?  I love golfing and spending time with friends and family. I love watching the Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots.

Guilty Pleasure: What can you not live without? French fries ... always has, always will be.  I try to limit how often I have them now, but I love them too much to ever give them up!

Favorite Movie? This is a tough one for me, I like a lot of favorites in different genres. Comedy would have to be National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, not only do I know all the lines but it just seems like something that would happen in my family. Love the Bond movies for action, especially if it is Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan or Daniel Craig. The Holiday with Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jack Black and Jude Law for Romance.  And probably The Thomas Crown Affair with Rene Russo and Pierce Brosnan for overall drama.

Favorite Book? I don't have as much time to read as I once did. Generally speaking I like mysteries and also your typical beach book romances. I have a bunch of books ready to read on my iPad but not enough hours in the day!

Favorite TV Show? Again, way too many.  The Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Blue Bloods, Grey's Anatomy, NCIS: Los Angeles, Madam Secretary, and The Voice, I watch regularly. My newest obsessions are This is Us on NBC and Billions on Showtime!

What is one thing that you would like people to know about you?  I like to have fun and laugh a lot. Don't get me wrong, I am serious when I need to be but I I like to keep things positive and light-hearted when I can because it just makes life so much better.
