Rev. Joanna Fontaine Crawford
“Who lives, who dies, who tells your story?” – Hamilton
You have lived through an epoch. Now it’s time to begin putting together our individual and collective stories of this time.
Live Oak is honored to welcome attendees of the Southern Region’s virtual “The Point” summer conference as our guests at this service.

Share the Plate
Help support a place of retreat for UUs.
Live Oak’s Share the Plate recipient for July is UBarU, a UU camp and retreat center near Kerrville. Some of our members have enjoyed UBarU offerings for years but if you haven’t, check out the opportunities at this 142-acre property. There are e-events, summer camps for kids and teenagers, adult retreats just ahead in October and a Star Party coming up on Labor Day weekend. It’s a place for UUs and friends to play, learn and feed the spirit. Learn more at www.ubaru.org.
To help support UBarU, go to the Donate link on the Live Oak website’s home page. Use the drop down menu to designate your donation for “Share the Plate”.
June recipient: Critter Crusaders - $324.25

Save the Date - Saturday, Sept 25
Mark your calendar right now for an all day Recovery and Healing Retreat, sponsored by the Healthy Community Team, on September 25. Breakfast and lunch will be provided for this guided retreat that will help us to process our experiences from the past year, heal as individuals and as a community, and look forward to the future. More details will come later, but we're hoping everyone can be there, so "save the date" now!

Live Oak UU Covid-19 Policy
Update for the Summer
For Live Oak members planning on using church grounds over the summer for meetings or gatherings the following is the Covid-19 policy:
Outside: Groups can gather without masks. Again please be cognizant of others with their comfort levels about social distancing and masks.
Inside (schedule with Administrator!):
- Groups ≤ 20 members in size can meet without masks as long as all members consent.
- Groups of more than 20 members should wear masks. Masks should be worn in common areas such as hallways or bathrooms as people may come into contact with others not necessarily in the meeting.
- Groups with children should always wear masks.
Again these are temporary restrictions over the summer, and we will continue to relax restrictions with updates from health authorities. Read more
