Happy Blitzmas!
Rev. Joanna Fontaine Crawford

This year, we’ve been exploring the history of the London Blitz, and finding parallels to our life in the pandemic. Christmas of 1940 found Britain under siege from air attacks by Germany – and still, they celebrated the yuletide. Perhaps we, too, “need a little Christmas.”

Help Distribute Food to Our Neighbors
Live Oak Church will be distributing food to our neighbors at Fresh Food Friday and need volunteers to help.

* Friday, December 18th @ 8:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in the Live Oak parking lot. This is when we distribute the food to our neighbors. Volunteers are needed to set up, direct people to the drive through area, collect client information, and place food in the client’s trunk. You do not need to remain the entire 2 & 1/2 hours.

HCCM has asked for 7 people for each activity. We are asking you to please let us know if you will be able to participate in either activity, so we know if we have enough or too many people.
