Share the Plate:
Our July Share the Plate community partner is ATX Helps. Driven by the Austin Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Austin Alliance-as well as a number of other businesses, nonprofit entities, faith-based organizations, and individuals-ATX Helps's goal is to raise $14 million for the construction and operation of at least one shelter that will provide immediate housing and other necessities for Austinites experiencing homelessness. All designated "share the plate" donations, and half of all undesignated donations, will be given to ATX Helps for the month of July.

Show us your pronouns on Zoom!
We've been doing more than ever as a church on zoom.   As a result, we are getting to interact with people we may never have before. This last Sunday I made it a point to add my pronouns after my name in Zoom.  I hope most everyone would get my pronouns right by seeing my name and (hopefully) via my gender expression. However, on video, not everyone's name and/or expression match up, especially for those who are non binary.

I encourage you to normalize putting your pronouns even if yours match up to your sex assigned at birth to both work as an ally and to prevent making those who need to do so feel less "othered". It only takes a moment but if can make a world of difference to others.

Question Box Service
The "Question Box" service is an annual tradition in which members (of all ages) submit questions to Rev. Joanna to answer during the service. Please email your question to minister@liveoakuu.org. Your identity will *not* be shared in the service. All questions need to be sent by Wednesday, July 15.
Women's Labyrinth Group On Zoom
Sunday, July 12, 6:30-9pm
We gather for a sharing circle followed by a finger labyrinth walk. Please join us as we walk the twists and turns of our lives and support each other along the path-the path that calls us "to return again to the land of your soul." The group is open to women high school age and older. The Zoom link will be sent via email for those who are on the email list for the Women's Labyrinth Group. If you need a copy of the Live Oak Labyrinth and/or the Zoom link, contact: Linda Webster  lilithfree2@gmail.com

Live Oak Church will be distributing food to our neighbors at Fresh Food Friday next week and need volunteers to help with two activities:
* Thursday, July 16th @ 1:00 p.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m. food needs to be separated into smaller quantities for distribution. Meet at Hill Country Community Ministries, 1005 Lacy Dr, Leander, TX 78641
* Friday, July 17th @ 8:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in the Live Oak parking lot. This is when we distribute the food to our neighbors. Volunteers are needed to set up, direct people to the drive through area, collect client information, and place food in client's trunk. You do not need to remain the entire 2 & 1/2 hours.
HCCM has asked for 7 people for each activity. We are asking you to please let us know if you will be able to participate in either activity, so we know if we have enough or too many people.
To RSVP or have questions please contact Donna Durbin at: HCCM@liveoakuu.org
Don't forget to "capture" some water!
September 6th will be our annual water communion/homecoming service. Even this year, when we're still online? Absolutely, and it's going to be a good one! Usually, this time of year, I remind everyone to capture some water from their vacations, backyard sprinklers, etc. Well, I'm doing the same, but I want you to "capture" it in another way. Take a short video or photo this summer of some water you experience - taking a walk near a neighborhood stream, your kids on a slip-and-slide, using water to make lemonade, jumping into your pool, your dog splashing in a kiddie pool, etc. No need to wait - go ahead and send it to minister@liveoakuu.org
Sunday Mornings
On Sunday mornings go to http://www.liveoakuu.org/ and click on the link for the worship service. That will take you to our Youtube Premiere page. Gathering will begin at 9:45, and the service begins at 10:00 am.
After the service, go back to http://www.liveoakuu.org/ and click on the link to Fellowship Time. That will take you to a Zoom meeting room where we will gather in breakout rooms for a deeper discussion with a small group of members. (It's a great way to get to know other members.)
Live Oak Trading Post
This is where our members who are in need of items small or large, will be able to put it on the list with their preferred contact information. Other members will be able to look at the list and see if these are items that they can supply; or set up a trade for something else. This list is also set up so that if a member has something to offer, that can be put on the list also and just indicate it is being offered. Please take a moment to look at and use the Trading Post.
Tuesday Night Deep Dive
This regular 7:00pm Tuesday evening Zoom Deep Dive with Kiya is for those who need a deeper check-in and a supportive place to process.  The link can be found on the What's Happening This Week page.

Enriching Connections has become an even more vital part of all that we do. We want to make it as easy for you to stay connected as possible. So we encourage you to add something to your morning routine. As you sip your coffee or tea, go to this link:  http://www.liveoakuu.org/whats-happening-this-week/
It will have the most up-to-date information about connection events. Be sure and save the link! We want to enrich connections, but we are also putting safeguards in place so that we can feel safer when we gather in this way. (But if you have a friend who might want to join, feel free to privately send them the link.)
